I love cinnamon toast, and I love french toast. Well, in this recipe, the two of them come together and form this baby- Baked French Toast Sticks. They are a delight! My kids gobbled them up in no time flat, and if there were any other sticks lying around, I'm sure I would have polished those off as well. These are quick, easy, and delicious. And who doesn't love food in stick form?

4-5 slices of bread
4 eggs
2 T cream
1/2 t vanilla
1 t cinnamon sugar
Slice the bread into 4-5 slices each.
In a shallow bowl, whisk the egg, cream, and vanilla. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, coating both sides. Place them on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray or butter.
Place an oven rack on the second-from-the-top slot. Preheat the broiler.
Give a generous sprinkling of cinnamon sugar on the tops of the sticks. Place under the broiler for 2-3 minutes. Keep an eye on it or you will have Baked French Burnt Sticks. Once they are golden and starting to brown, take them out. Flip them over, sprinkle with some more cinnamon sugar, and place back under the broiler to bake the other sides.
After a couple minutes, check them. You want the sugar to start caramelizing and glistening. Mmmm...
Once they're done, take them out and serve with syrup and whipped cream.
